Craven Street
This corner plot was comprised of an existing house and back garden which reached around the side of the property. The client wanted to utilize the area to the side of the existing property by building an adjoining house for rental purposes. The existing garden and trees had to be cleared in order to dig for foundations and drainage as well as new meters installed. The new build was constructed in keeping with the style of the existing property with window surrounds and cornerstones. The property comprised of a lounge, kitchen, and w/c on the ground floor and two bedrooms and a main bathroom on the first floor. As this is a compact property, space saving measures were considered. The main bathroom consisted of a toilet, sink with storage and corner shower. The kitchen was finished with a modern look white gloss units in addition to an electric oven, gas hobs, overhead extractor and white gloss tiling. Internally, all rooms were plastered and painted. The property was externally rendered as was the existing property to create a consistent look as well as the same style of roofing tiles fitted to the new roof. The existing hedges were removed and replaced with a panelled fence.
