The Square – Kenilworth
These refurbishment works included the alteration to part of the existing ground floor retail area to create two new residential apartments on both first and second floor levels. External works were also required, which included the design and installation of an external metal staircase and decking area.
The property was in desperate need of modernisation; the walls and floors were completely stripped back so that remedial work could be undertaken. The apartments received a new fire-rated floorboard system and modern flooring throughout to give a contemporary feel. The property also received new roof and ceiling joists and Velux rooflights. The entire layout was re-configured and new walls erected to enable the space to be fit for purpose.
Both apartments benefitted from brand new, modern bathroom suites and kitchens with appliances, which perfectly suited the change of use to inhabiting residential tenants.
New doors, skirting and architraves were fitted to the entire property to compliment the fresh, updated feel to the apartments.
UPVC doors and windows were fitted to the apartments, with a state-of-the-art door entry system installed by our electricians.
During the construction project, the property also benefitted from a full electrical rewire and new plumbing and heating system.
To finish, the walls of the property were plaster-boarded and skimmed to provide a fresh look. The apartments were then fully decorated to the client’s specification.
