Stoneleigh Close

With this existing bungalow, the original roof was dismantled and removed, and a new first floor built over. New floor joists were fitted and the blockworks for the first floor were then laid with new roof trusses fitted on top with openings for Velux windows.

At the rear of the property, steels were fitted in a goal post formation to build the first-floor rear elevation over. A single storey extension was also built at the rear of the existing bungalow which then formed a much larger, new open plan kitchen and living area.

The works also comprised of major alterations to the ground floor with the front elevation
being built from new with openings for new windows. Openings were formed on the side of the existing bungalow with steelwork above to take a much-enlarged entrance area.

A new ground floor slab was laid with under floor heating in liquid screed and the under-floor heating was also laid at first floor level between the new floor joists so the property benefits from underfloor heating throughout. New stud walls were formed on the first floor to create new bedrooms, dressing rooms and en-suite bathrooms.

The entire property was finished ready for decoration by being plaster boarded and skimmed with new door linings, doors, skirting and architraves also fitted. The newly built single storey extension space is now being utilised fully with a high spec fitted kitchen.
